All tinsel aside, thank you for an awesome year. You've all made it better than I could have hoped. It is my hope and prayer that you have a Christmas filled with inner peace and joy.
In the bleak midwinter
I've been quietly working away on commission paintings. There are two remaining! Don't worry I will share them all to you in the days to come. If the social media air waves have been a little quiet, I apologize. I've begun showing some of my work from yesteryear to fill that void. If you haven't already, you may visit and see some of the paintings I've created in the past. Just tap your favorite icon below!
I had the wonderful opportunity to teach Sally Wade some portrait painting methods at a solo workshop. Anna (my wife) posed for us. Painting Anna was a delight. I got to "study" her for an extended period of time. It made me feel grateful for her. I found comfort and new beauty in the person I have grown so accustomed to.
Two is more fun than one. We've got our hands full at this point. Mira is laughing and talking and reaching out to touch what she sees now. It's unbelievably sweet. Ernest is solid entertainment! Here he is with his tractor planting seeds with baby Jesus in tow. I don't recall that part in the Nativity. I might need a refresher.
Make sure to read January's newsletter! I've got some exciting news for 2018. New time sensitive opportunities will avail themselves! I don't want you to miss out!
Until then, Cheers and Blessings,
Ernest Vincent Wood III
